Hi! I’m Lisa - the artist behind the work you’ll find here.
 

I paint the feeling of a place - from the stillness of a shoreline to the rush of a skier carving down a mountain. I’m drawn to the little things that might otherwise go unnoticed, like the ridges of weathered bark, light breaking apart on moving water, or long shadows stretching across fresh snow.

Originally from Australia, I now call Canada home. I grew up surrounded by beaches, and I’m still drawn to the water, though these days I find just as much inspiration in the mountains, forests and lakes around me. Different landscapes, same pull towards the natural world.
 

My paintings are built up in layers of texture, so you can feel the ridges and crevices of the landscape as well as see them. Colour and texture are how I try to bring you back to a moment, the kind you’d want to hold onto long after it’s over.
